The spring of 2024 was extraordinary. It was +30°C in April! And on April 20th, I went fishing at my favorite lake. It's located in the Nizhnekamsk district, 6 km from Nizhnekamsk. The coordinates are: latitude 55.6516375, longitude 51.7420458. These are the coordinates of the fishing spot, not the lake, although they are the same thing.

This is where I put the worm on the hook.

Beauty!

First catch

And here's the catch!
After observing the bite, I came to the conclusion that weather has little effect on rotan fishing. You see—a clear day, the sun is shining, almost no clouds, and look at the catch! Rotan fishing is only affected by the season. In summer, rotan are solitary fish, schools are rare, and the fish are usually found in small numbers in catches. In spring, it's a different story. Rotan spawn in April and gather in schools, which are easy to find in areas that were overgrown with grass in the summer, but now the grass is just beginning to grow. The rotan spawn and are easy to catch.
I wish you neither tail nor scales!
