Well-kept garden beds are wonderful

In a small patch of land, I planted onions and dill, right next to each other. As a novice gardener, I was advised, the crops won't interfere with each other because dill's root system is too small. I did this in a small plot for the sake of experimentation. Well, we'll see what happens. For now, they're growing well together, and quite quickly.

I've been so busy with work and housework, as I'm also renovating my newly purchased house, that I completely forgot about planting. Especially since there's no need to water; water literally sits a meter away from us since winter and hasn't drained or evaporated. And it's rained a couple of times this week.

In short, when I walked up to this plot, I was almost speechless. The grass had grown so thick that I couldn't even see the onions and dill.

But the worst part was that the blades of grass were growing between the young dill, so I imagined how difficult it would be to remove them. But I didn't despair, especially considering this was a small experimental plot, and I pulled out all the weeds. The end result was this beauty:

This is what the beds look like where only onions grow:

I liked this well-groomed look, so I will visit the area with the beds more often))).
