Hello! I'd like to show off my Mammillaria cactus. Admittedly, I don't know the exact variety of this genus of cacti. So be it, the flower always brings me joy. Especially because it doesn't demand a lot of attention.
Here is my miracle-miracle:
I'll tell you about the rules for caring for it:
- It can be placed on southern windowsills because, unlike other indoor flowers, it loves direct sunlight (due to the fact that its homeland is Mexico);
- It tolerates summer temperatures easily, but hibernates in winter, so it doesn’t freeze either;
- You don’t need to water it that often – a couple of times a week in the summer, and once a month in the winter is enough;
- I have to fertilize it once every 1-1.5 months – I buy liquid universal fertilizer for succulents;
- replanting at a young age - once a year, then once every 3-4 years;
- the pot is wide and not tall.
When replanting, I mix equal parts garden soil, leaf mold, and sand. Oh, and I always add some birch charcoal. That's all.
