Planting dill without watering is possible in this wet year!

Hi!!! We've had a real flood this year!!! Look at the standing water in the garden:

Despite this, I took the risk of planting some greenery outside, far from the house, in a vacant lot, and the rest we plant in the field – we’ve already managed to disk and plow it, but we do this with tractors:

I bought these seeds from the Gavrish company (I've never used them before, so I don't know what will come of them):

I poured them out onto my hand – the seeds were good, grain by grain and quite large:

First, I dug up a patch of vacant land with some young grass. Honestly, I thought it hadn't really taken root yet, so it would be easy to pull out. But no such luck. I dug it up, but when I started pulling it out of the garden bed, it turned out to be a challenge. After clearing it out, I leveled the surface with a rake:

After that, I made furrows with a hoe. The depth is shallow—about 5 cm—and the distance between rows is about 15 cm. Generally, I do everything by eye, so to speak. These are the furrows I ended up with:

I threw seeds into the grooves and leveled the surface:

I didn't water anything because there was water nearby:

Now I'm wondering if anything will come of this. Even though I know I didn't follow the rules. If so, I'll definitely tell you about it and show you some photos.
