Dead-nettle - very useful, which I wrote about hereIt's very similar to nettle, but has a slightly different effect. I told you where is used grass and how to use it on in the gardenTo get the largest possible harvest, this is what dead nettle looks like:
Now I'll describe a few universal recipes that a herbalist shared with me. These are proven remedies that really do help.
For health:
- Tea. It can be drunk as a preventative measure. It's brewed in the standard way—like mint, chamomile, etc.
- A sedative and insomnia remedy. Add 1 level tablespoon of dried herb to 250 ml of boiling water. Pour the mixture over the heat, simmer for about 5 minutes, and then let it steep.
- Universal tincture. Place 1 tablespoon of flowers in a thermos and pour 250 ml of boiling water over it. Let it steep for 1-1.5 hours. Then strain and drink.
- A universal decoction. Use 30 g of leaves per 1 liter of water. Boil for 10-15 minutes.
- Juice. Extracted from fresh leaves, it's used externally only. Unlike nettle, it won't sting. It can be used as a mouthwash, but diluted 1:1 with water.
Any medication can be taken orally in a dose of 400 ml per day and no more, but it's best to reduce the dosage by half. If you're starting treatment, start with small doses and gradually increase the dose.
And now for the face and hair:
- For healthy-looking hair. Steep a cup of dried herb in 1 liter of boiling water. Pour the mixture loosely, without compacting it. Once steeped, strain and add 2 tablespoons of liquid honey. Let it sit for another hour. Apply to the scalp and distribute through the hair with a fine-toothed comb. Leave for 20 minutes and rinse. To enhance the effect, you can rinse with a light dead-nettle infusion.
- For hair loss and dandruff. Prepare a decoction: 2 cups of leaves per 0.5 liters of water. Then add 0.5 liters of vinegar. Rub into your scalp, then rinse.
- For the face. Finely chop the leaves and measure out 1 tablespoon. Then pour 2-3 tablespoons of hot milk over them. Once it's cooled slightly, add 2 egg whites or yolks (the white if you have oily skin, the yolk if you have dry skin), lightly whisking them beforehand. For a better effect, add a little honey. Apply to your face and leave on for 15 minutes.
Try it and you'll see the results you can achieve. The key is to do it regularly.
