The gooseberries are gigantic this year!

We moved into a new house in the winter, and there was a gooseberry bush there. It looked pretty bad, though—somehow sick. And it was located at the very end of the garden. Nevertheless, in the spring, I treated it with Bordeaux mixture, pruned it, and applied urea and charcoal. I tilled the soil and watered it. That was all, because I completely forgot about it due to lack of time—it's just out of sight due to its remote location.

I recently discovered gooseberries again and was simply amazed – there were so many berries on them:

I came to the bush a month later – it was, of course, overgrown with grass, and it itself had become very branchy:

But there were already large berries on it, and I was very pleased with the quantity:

They taste quite sweet! It's a shame I don't know what variety they are. But I've come to the conclusion that gooseberries are quite easy to grow. Now I plan to plant five more bushes next spring.
