Cat Health: Calming Cat Bayun

I'd like to share a review and feedback on the cat medication "Kot Bayun." Here's what it looks like:

Bayun the Cat

It's a calming medication for cats. We bought it for our cat. The reason was that she started peeing everywhere—in the hallway, on the blanket, on the pillow. Basically, everywhere except the litter box. Although, she had never had any problems with the litter box before.

We took her to the vet – the preliminary diagnosis was puberty, even though she's spayed! They told us to give her pills for a week, and then we'll see.

The tablets are completely herbal and plant-based. They are not thought to be harmful to your pet if taken as directed and not exceeding the recommended dosage.

Here's what I researched before giving my Pusha this thing.

The sedative is effective for:

  • When moving by transport (for example, if you went to visit someone and decided to take your cat with you).
  • When changing housing or the owner. Or when the owner is lost.
  • During sexual activity. The medication calms the male or female cat, causing the pet to stop marking its territory and become less eager to mate.
  • Corrects the pet's behavior if a new person or pet appears in the family.
  • Reduces aggression in cats and corrects behavior in general.
  • Relieves hyper-excitability in cats if the animal has become overly active and excitable.

It's also been reported online that Bayun affects each pet differently. It's important to choose the correct dosage. For one cat, one tablet might put them to sleep for four hours, while for another, two tablets might not be enough.

The herbs in the formula also affect your pet's condition. For example, although rare, it can happen that your pet's body perceives the pills not as a sedative, but as an energy boost. As a result, they'll become even more playful or active. This means the medication isn't suitable for your pet.

Your pet may also have an overreaction to the medication. A normal dosage can sedate the animal so much that it becomes completely lethargic and apathetic, sleeping for days. This is also not good, and the medication should not be given again in this case.

Overall, the herbal complex works correctly and efficiently for most cats and almost always helps out in difficult situations.

But the medication didn't help; Pushka continued to pee everywhere. I even gave her a double dose—she'd walk around drunk, but she'd stubbornly go to the blanket, and she'd ignore the litter box.

Then we took the cat for tests and discovered that she had cystitis! We were only asked to take the tests after she started peeing with blood.

As a result, we cured Pushenka, and Bayun the Cat is now lying on the shelf, but I don’t think it will be needed, since our kitty is already calm and affectionate.

Oh, and I also forgot to mention that the drug is inexpensive, around 120 rubles for 50 tablets.

There are other similar products, such as Fitex and Stop Stress. They all have similar ingredients and effects, and generally work the same way.
