Plum pockets – what is this disease and what do the fruits look like?

We recently bought a house, but the lot is in terrible condition, and the back yard is in terrible disrepair, overgrown with trees. We moved in early spring, but never got around to it. This is what it looked like back then:

And then one day, while walking my dogs through an abandoned building, I saw a strange tree. Or rather, the fruit was strange. They looked like this:

In March, I couldn't figure out what kind of plant it was, because the fruit resembled so many things on the outside, but when cut into sections, it was completely indistinguishable. So I decided to just wait. Around the end of May, I decided to inspect those numerous trees again. Now they looked like this:

The fruits have grown, but are still in the same condition. I also noticed that the leaves have become curly:

At the same time, I discovered whole fruits on the trees:

I picked a few, cut them open, and realized they were just plums! They tasted sour, but when cut open, they looked like this:

But then I also found some rotten cream:

So, I started looking for an answer to the question: what diseases are affecting trees? I discovered that:

  • The fruits are drying out due to plum pockets. This occurs due to high humidity and because groundwater is very close to the soil surface. And that's exactly how it is with us.
  • Here's a photo of the area around mid-April – there's standing water:

  • The foulbrood most likely arose due to moniliosis.
  • And leaf curl is the cause of changes in the structure, thickness and shape of the foliage.

In short, these are all fungal infections. I've definitely figured out the cysts, but I'm a little unsure about the other conditions, but I'll definitely treat them. You can read how I got rid of all these problems. HereBy the way, I identified diseases by this link – everything is described in detail here and photos are included.
