I've had type 2 diabetes for about 7-8 years now, I don't remember exactly. For the first few years, I was constantly taking pills, but then I started noticing my liver was acting up, and the medication wasn't having a good effect on my stomach. Then I wondered if there was a way to lower my blood sugar with folk remedies. My daughter had read a lot of different recipes online, and I tried some, but I couldn't seem to achieve immediate blood sugar reduction. One day, a neighbor's aunt from the village came to visit, and she's already 94 years old. We got to talking, and she recommended a remedy—the simplest and most basic.
Of course, I decided to try it out right away, and now, at 52, I can lower my blood sugar in 5 minutes using one product everyone knows. I'll let you in on a secret (I'm not greedy): it's a simple bay leaf.
How I cook it:
- I wash 6-8 bay leaves under water (depending on size);
- I put them in a 0.5 liter thermos;
- I fill this with boiling water, but not to the top (300 ml is enough);
- I insist for 4 hours;
- I strain it.
The drink is ready. I drink it every morning on an empty stomach, as my blood sugar is highest at that time of day. To lower my glucose levels in 5 minutes, I pour myself 200 ml, or a glass. But you can also drink this remedy throughout the day—100 ml before breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Do this for three days in a row, then take a break for the same amount of time.
I was curious about why bay leaf works so quickly. My daughter turned on my laptop, and I started searching for information. It turns out that various studies and trials have been conducted in Europe, which have proven that if you consume just 2 grams of bay leaf every day, your blood glucose readings will drop by 30% within a month. You know, that's quite a lot.
The hypoglycemic effect occurs because bay leaf contains a lot of essential oil and certain phytochemicals. These components immediately accelerate insulin and glucose metabolism, while polyphenols boost insulin production.
So, if you'd like, take advantage of my personal experience; maybe it will help you too. Drinking this infusion is especially important in emergency situations, so I always keep it in the refrigerator.

If so, that's just great. I'll definitely try it.
