Budget-friendly window lighting for seedlings

Good afternoon.
I'd like to share a budget-friendly option for installing an adjustable grow light for seedlings. My mom suggested this method. She grows seedlings at home, in her apartment, and then takes them to her dacha.

To prevent indoor plants from becoming leggy, additional lighting is required. The challenge is securing the fixtures to the window frame.

Since seedlings only require light in the spring, installing a permanent lamp makes no sense. Furthermore, window sashes are periodically opened throughout the year for cleaning or ventilation, so a temporary lighting solution is needed that can be easily removed after the planting season until the following spring.

This is what mom got:

This lighting setup allows for easy placement of the desired number of lamps and adjustment of the mount to suit the height and size of the window. Once the seedlings have grown, simply raise the holder (rod) to the desired height. There's no need to screw anything to the window frame itself. However, this method is likely only suitable for wide wooden windows; we haven't tried it on plastic windows.

To install the lighting, you'll need a standard telescopic shower curtain rod. These days, you can buy one at any hardware store.

This is what it looks like from the outside:

Install the rod in the window frame at the desired height. It will be securely fastened. Next, hang the lamps. The lighting is ready. If you need to raise it, simply loosen the rod slightly and move it higher.

Maybe someone will find this lamp idea useful.
