Planting a plant
Gardeners recommend repotting purchased Odensjo pelargoniums immediately, as the soil in which they grow is overly saturated with fertilizers and stimulants. To ensure a smooth repotting process, follow these guidelines:
- Water the plant until the soil is slightly moist.
- Remove the pelargonium along with the root ball and shake it gently to release the old soil from the root system.
- Carefully inspect the roots and remove any damaged areas, then sprinkle with charcoal.
- Place drainage material in a shallow pot, then add expanded clay and fresh soil. Fill in the remaining soil, but do not compact it.
- Water the planted plant so that the spaces between the roots are completely filled with soil.
